AccessData Dongle Driver, developed by AccessData, is a lightweight, digitally signed system component that enables Windows to recognize AccessData USB hardware license keys (dongles). It provides the secure communication layer required to validate and enforce software entitlements in AccessData applications such as FTK and related toolsets. The driver runs in the background with minimal overhead and supports both physical workstations and virtual environments with USB pass-through.

Key features:

  • Reliable detection and activation of AccessData hardware license keys
  • Secure, low-overhead license validation
  • Plug-and-play support with automatic service startup
  • Simple deployment, including silent installation options for enterprise use
  • Designed for current, supported versions of Microsoft Windows (workstation and server)

Basic requirements and setup:

  • Administrator privileges are required to install.
  • Close any running AccessData applications before installation.
  • Run the installer, then connect the USB dongle to complete detection.
  • Verify activation within your AccessData product’s licensing or About screen.

If the dongle is not recognized, try a different USB port, confirm the driver service is running, reinstall the driver, and check USB power management or group policy settings. For detailed compatibility information and release notes, consult AccessData support.
